Hello, my name is Paul Dean. I live in Baton Rouge, Louisiana. I live in Beauregard Town, the oldest neighborhood in Baton Rouge. I live near the river and close to the bridge, if you know what I mean. I am an associate professor at the Louisiana State University School of Art. I teach in the graphic design area, and generally stress typography, color theory and graphic design history.

I’m also a freelance graphic designer and a collage artist. I’ve been a regularly exhibiting member of the Baton Rouge Gallery for the last fourteen years. I’m also a DJ, although the nature of my DJ-dom has shifted over the years from college radio to vinyl-only turntable DJ-dom to my current incarnation as DJ ‘guide’ who, through the medium of my weblog, www.djmisc.com, connects listeners to other DJs and vice versa through a conveniently located set of links to a number of interesting internet radio streams. Check it out!
